The Futurist Manifesto...

I probably should have researched the period and the society of the person that wrote the Manifesto...Of course we can take into account the era in which this article was created, but I still hear words and ideas similar to those found in the reading, being expressed in essence all the time, all of my life by people from many different walks of life.

I simply see the writing as possibly expressions that are simple in terms of their true source or intent.  Expressions of disenchantment, poetic expression of a desire to break from traditions that can be stifling.

Even today, there are anarchists, and there are youth who are easily taken to join these communities of thought...I've met some of them...they speak very similarly to the writer of The Futurist Manifesto...but I don't think they are serious about the destruction...though I know some could easily stumble onto the wrong path.  Sometimes youth, and even some adults (probably somewhat stunted in maturity, or simply very narrow in their view of how important order is), will spout words that sound like those.

On another plane, I see this expression as possibly words of  a frustrated, obviously intelligent, but still developing mind.  Or perhaps they are the expression of a mind of an individual that might have been stifled by the standards that require sooo much conformancy in order to be accepted in intellectual or fine arts communities...  In eras past, SO many artists were required to study in specific schools or under certain masters in order to have their talents respected or appreciated.  A person who's dream is deferred can become deeply frustrated and that frustration could become anger, it could even fester into hatred.
